As I mentioned in the last post, I am sorting and organizing many years’ accumulation in order to sell my house and move to a new stage in life. Friends Judy and Mary Jo came over to help with weeding; they helped knock out 6 garden beds in record time! But we still haven’t figured out how to keep the squirrels away from the birdbath!
But, I am re-posting favorite recipes rather than taking time to craft new recipes, make food and take photos.
This recipe for a dessert dip with fresh fruit came about in the summer when fresh fruit and berries were abundant, it was too hot to bake, and I wanted to use what I had on hand. Allen was also pleased that it didn’t require another “Honey-do” trip to the grocery store.
You only need four ingredients for the dip, one of which is vanilla extract. This is a great time to use vanilla paste, if you have it, but vanilla extract works well, also. Don’t use vanilla flavoring, because this dip is all about the essence and taste of pure vanilla.
